We played the Penny Dice game in math today. This was our first time this year working in partners. We did an awesome job of working in partners and playing nicely with each other.

Special Visitor
We had a special visitor this morning. Mr. Schneider came and talked to us. He explained his job and then read us a book. He also talked to us about being super first graders and always doing our best.

Introducing Ourselves to the Class
We had fun introducing ourselves to our class. Everyone brought two or three things to share with the class that would help us get to know them better. We are a very diverse group of kids. We have many interests and hobbies so it should be a fun year. We also brought our favorite book, which was read to the class as well.

Welcome to First Grade
We had a very good first day of first grade. One of the first things we did was to take a picture as we entered the room. It was wonderful to see all of the bright and shining faces. We also went outside and took a couple of group pictures..........one serious and one as silly as we wanted to be.
