The first graders are doing an awesome job of reading to meet their reading goal for Camp Read-A-Lot. As of Thursday afternoon they have read 1209 books leaving them with only 191 more to go to meet the 1400 book goal.
I hope to see you all tomorrow night at the Spaghetti Supper and Family Fun Night. The first grade Chocolate Basket is AWESOME!!! We have a nice variety of candy, coffee, cook books, beauty products, towels, candles, a movie, a book, and note cards. You won’t want to miss out on this!! Thank you all for your donations!!!
If you ever have any concerns or questions, please let me know. You can call me at school or shoot me an email and I will respond as quickly as possible. I would rather answer questions and concerns when they are small rather than let them snowball into a huge problem.
Check out the First Grade Blog to see more of the happenings of the week.

I hope you enjoyed the music concert Monday night. It was nice to see so many of you there. I thought the children did a very nice job. Thank you for taking the time out of very busy schedules to come and share this with your children.
I am looking forward to Grandparent’s Day, which is coming up on Wednesday April 20th. This is always such a fun time for the children. Be sure and mark your calendars.
Many of the children are in need of new pencils and crayons for the last few weeks of school. If you could ask your child if they need any supplies that would be great.
Mrs. Caskey came in again on Thursday afternoon. We learned a little bit more about birds and went outside to bird watch. We got to try out her binoculars after she gave a little lesson on how to use them. Mrs. Wilson learned why she can never see out of binoculars when someone hands them to her. The very first bird we saw through them was a bald eagle soaring over the farm fields. We will look forward to using the binoculars again and finding more birds around the school grounds.
